Who I Am

Anton is wearing a black t-shirt, purple sunglasses is confidently looking at the horizon. The sky is in the background and the sun is shining at him.

My name is Anton Lebedev — I’m a Product Design Leader with a background in civil construction project management. I come from both worlds: business and design, logic and creativity. I’m just as comfortable in a suit discussing business metrics as I am in sneakers at a whiteboard sketching ideas — and that balance has become my superpower. It allows me to connect the dots easily, communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, learn and explain quickly through analogies, and achieve the best results.

Why I Design

Anton, with his 2 peers, are happily demonstrating the results of the workshop. Everyone is smiling.

Design is my oxygen. I love solving complex challenges—breaking them down with a systems mindset and Object-Oriented UX, then watching the results come to life as key metrics improve. I still notice design everywhere: in architecture, store signs, hardware, and of course, in the most divine designer of all—Nature.

I graduated in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. Since then, I’ve been practicing user experience long before I knew the term ‘UX.’ Much of my work involved interviewing, managing, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify risks and deliver solutions that were not only functional but also visually compelling.

In 2018, I discovered UX in web design and began formal study. By 2020, I was applying my skills professionally—and here I am today, thriving in digital product design, where strategy, systems thinking, and measurable outcomes intersect.

Few Facts About Me

I’m passionate about emerging technologies, particularly the transformative potential of Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence. What once existed only in imagination—like reshaping our perception of time or exploring distant worlds—is now evolving into tangible, real-world experiences.

World Ocean truly inspires me, with its many creatures and plants, how they live and interact with it, and how they adapt to different depths – Amazing!

I love traveling, any kind: world or local, by plane or by foot – anything would work to explore new corners and meet interesting people!

I get inspired by the work of talented and hard-working people, regardless of a timeline: woodblock art by Hokusai or Nirvana's unplugged concert in New York, masterpieces of Renaissance, designs by Dieter Rams, business creation by Richard Branson, ancient architecture, poetry, literature, cinema – the list is endless.

Reading books is another type of traveling for me. My imagination allows me to immerse myself in the setting that takes place in the book while I'm reading. Experiencing these adventures can sometimes be breathtaking for me. A great example of that would be one of my all-time favorite books: "Odyssey" by Homer.
